Day ONE.

Hello "everyone". To aid in my weight loss, I have downloaded two apps for my phone. Well, technically, I have had one of them for a while, but it is severely underutilized. This one is called "Myfitnesspal". It is a free app where you can log all of your food and exercises, and you input your stats and set goals for yourself. It will give you a daily calorie goal based on your stats and your weight loss goal. I have been using it on and off for about a month, and it really is amazing. It was free, but I would've paid a hefty chunk of change for it. The second app I got is called "5k Runner". The idea behind this app is to get you from your couch to running a 5k in eight weeks. Sounds tough, but I'm up for the challenge. I'm not sure I can do it in eight weeks, so I might extend to program to 12 weeks for myself. I completed Day 1 which was challenging, but not too challenging I felt like I was going to die. (I did have to pause once or twice to catch my breath.) I am, however, feeling great.  Even though I am just beginning on this journey, I already feel proud of my accomplishments and I am ready to take on tomorrow's challenges.

Hello!

Hello! My name is Emily and I'm from New York. I've recently embarked on a journey to lose one hundred pounds in one year, so I've decided to start this blog to give myself some more accountability. I'm new to blogging, but I am excited and I am dedicated to keeping up on posts, even if there is no one reading but me. Wish me luck!
